Hey everyone! Ever since we have all been little and everybody still lived at home, we have made our own wheat bread. It is so yummy! Especially right when it comes out of the oven and you put butter and honey on it.....mmm......! :) Here's the recipe!
Put 2 cups luke warm water in a big bowl....
Then mix 1/3 oil and 1/3 honey together so
that the honey doesn't stick as much to the measuring cup....
It should look like this.
Then put in 1 tablespoon of sea salt,
and 1 tablespoon yeast.
Then put in around 7 cups of flour.
We grind our own wheat and so I'm not sure
exactly how many cups there are, so just keep
putting it in until you are comfortable with how wet/dry
it is :)
It has to be dry enough to work with, but not too dry
otherwise it doesn't turn out very well.
split it into to 2 chunks like this........
Then knead each one separately for about 2 min. each
make them nice and smooth.
Spray 2 normal sized bread pans
with non-stick spray.
pop 'em in the oven at 200 degrees (Fahrenheit) for half an hour,
then 350 for another half an hour. It is so yummmmy! Just store it in the refrigerator when you're not using it :D
